Accessibility Statement


Metal Injection Molding by Silcon Plastic is committed to making its website accessible in accordance with Law No. 4 of 9 January 2004, according to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 – level AA, and in compliance with the principles of the European Accessibility Act (EAA), in force from 28 June 2025.

Scope of application

Compliance status

The site is partially compliant, due to the limitations listed below, with WCAG 2.1 level AA according to the requirements set out in Annex A of the UNI CEI EN 301549:2018 standard (WCAG 2.1) and the requirements set out in Annex A of the Ministerial Decree of 5 July 2005 (WCAG 2.0).
Compliance was verified through automated testing (Google Lighthouse, WAVE, Silktide) and manual checks.

Numerous measures have been implemented to ensure the most inclusive use possible:

  • Hierarchical structure of titles (H1-H6) used and largely consistent in the institutional pages;
  • Sufficient contrast for titles and main paragraphs on a white background;
  • Use of clear and readable language;
  • Responsive layout and readable on any device;
  • Adequate visual contrasts;
  • Guaranteed keyboard navigation on basic static components (menus, text links, main buttons);
  • Presence of alternative text on many descriptive images and main iconographic content;
  • Checks using automated tools and some manual tests.

Content not accessible

Some areas of the site may not yet be fully accessible. Corrective measures are planned to achieve full compliance.
In particular:

  1. failure to comply with Law 9 January 2004, no. 4. :
    • Decorative images without a text alternative (referring to the “Contact” page map) [WCAG 2.0 A 1.1.1];
    • Links with different destinations, the purpose of the link may be ambiguous for most users (the alert on the “Cookie Policy” link in the Complianz cookie management banner (in Italian) may confuse the user with the destination of the “Cookie Policy” link (referring to the English page) in the footer) [WCAG 2.0 A 2.4.4];
    • Some links and buttons use generic descriptions (e.g. “More Info” in the “Homepage (ENG)” section, “MIM Manufacturing Processes”) that may not be fully clear to users who use assistive technologies;
    • Some dynamic elements may require further improvements in terms of ARIA Label / Description / Tabindex / Button / Expanded semantics.
  2. disproportionate burden: N/A.
  3. iThe content does not fall within the scope of applicable legislation: N/A.

An upgrade is planned. We are working continuously to resolve these critical issues.

Drafting the accessibility statement

The current non-conformities were identified (by third parties) through automated analysis (WAVE and Silktide) and some manual checks conducted with accessibility checking tools.
WAVE and Silktide are tools that can identify numerous errors related to accessibility and the “Web Content Accessibility Guidelines” (WCAG).
Manual checks were conducted by human testers and include, but are not limited to, the clarity of the information instructions, checking whether text is real text and not an image (and if it is an image, the corresponding text is shown as the “alt” text), rearrangement after zooming in, changes in contrast and content when the mouse is hovered over, error suggestions, and keyboard navigation (via the TAB key).

The site is designed taking into account the provisions of the European Accessibility Act, in force from 28 June 2025, in particular to ensure:

  • Simplified use of content, forms, purchase pages, information and digital services;
  • Accessibility to services also for users with visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive disabilities;
  • This statement will be updated based on future technical and regulatory developments.
